The American College of Nurse-Midwives website allows you to search for a Certified Nurse-Midwife by zip code, city or birth setting (home, hospital, or birth center).

You can also find a midwife to provide well-person care unrelated to pregnancy and birth.

I'm looking for a Certified Nurse Midwife

I'm looking for a Licensed Midwife

In addition to the above search, you may consider visiting MAWS (Midwives' Association of Washington State) website if you are searching for midwives who provide care for home and birth center birth.

MAWS list includes non-CNM licensed midwives as well as some CNMs.

It is very likely that you insurance plan covers some type of midwifery service! For example, Kaiser Permanente has 4 teams of midwives in Washington state (Seattle, Tacoma, Bellevue, and Olympia), and most major insurance plans cover care by midwives at Swedish, Providence, or CHI hospitals. Your insurance may include benefits to home birth or birth center-based midwives. Contact your insurance to explore your benefits!
