 Midwifery Spotlight

May 2014

Kelly McKittrick CNM, MSN and Jennifer Ham CNM, MSN, are pleased to have returned to the Pacific Northwest to introduce and launch midwifery services with Swedish Midwifery & Women’s Health located at Swedish Medical Center’s Issaquah Campus.

This service launched in April 2014 to facilitate and guide normal alterations of health in women across the lifespan. Determined not to force women into an assembly line model of healthcare, women who establish care with Kelly and Jen can expect to have their care tailored to their specific needs.

Midwifery services offered to women are broad and include questions pertaining to a girl’s first menstrual cycle, women’s annual exams, preconception evaluations, bedside care for uncomplicated pregnancy and birth, STI screening, contraceptive guidance and implementation (including long acting reversible contraceptive methods such as IUDs and Nexplanon insertions), women’s menopausal transition and more.

Excited to normalize the experience of pregnancy and birth while simultaneously providing women the opportunity to form social support networks, Kelly & Jen eagerly anticipate the launch of their Centering prenatal care model in June 2014.
